Prioritising your own needs

IMPLEMENTATION CHALLENGE

The aim of this challenge is to help you work on finding more time and space for the things that are important to you in the context of motherhood – your self care needs, your wants and interests, and your personal goals and dreams.

To play along with this challenge:

  • Grab your copy of the challenge guide book below
  • Review the guide, particularly if you’d like a refresher on topics such as the motherhood-self care paradox, common barriers that might be stopping you from prioritising yourself, how to reclaim more time for yourself, and habit change strategies
  • Start by picking one thing you would love to have more time to focus on for the activity this week
  • Move to the ‘putting it all together’ section of the guide (on page 27) and work through the questions, prompts, and activities here to help you map out the big picture and start planning towards your goal
  • Complete the summary sheet (on page 35, but also linked separately below) to bring it all together. Consider taking a screenshot or print it off so you can easily revisit this across the week
  • Use the habit tracker (on page 36, also linked separately below) to take the first steps towards your goal this week
